We are looking for someone to facilitate our Teen Parent Program-this is a part time (10-12 hours per week) temporary job opening.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Teen Parent Program Coordinator
(Temporary, part time position)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Teen Parent Program Coordinator supports FamilyWorks by facilitating the Teen Parent Program in collaboration with the North Seattle Family Center providing information, support, advocacy, outreach, and life skills development for teen parents. The Teen Parent Program Coordinator is familiar with and practices the Principles of Family Support in all interactions on behalf of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teen Parent Programs
 Coordinate all aspects of teen parent program activities, including support groups, summer field trips, outreach, and advocacy.
 Facilitate weekly (Saturday) support groups at North Seattle Family Center.
 Develop and maintain community partnerships to enhance teen parent service delivery.
 Provide young parents with resources for their family and their success in work, school and employment.
 Maintain accurate records, evaluating program as designed and submit paperwork in a timely manner.
 Maintain program supplies and equipment within budget.
 When on site at the Resource Center, assist as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
 Ability to work effectively within a diverse community.
 Comfortable working in small groups and team environment.
 Ability to communicate effectively both interpersonally and in writing.
 Capable of effectively assessing client needs and determining appropriate, effective referrals.
 Spanish fluency desirable.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
 Associates degree and experience with youth and/or teen parents. 
 Demonstrated knowledge of child development and positive parenting skills.
HOURS AND COMPENSATION
 Temporary, part time contracted position  (4-6 months)
 10-12 hours per week (4 hours on Saturdays, other hours flexible)
 $16.00 per hour
