Our mission is to contribute to the growth of strong families. Because parenting is a challenging and life changing experience, we encourage parents to share with and support each other. Our goal for single parent programing is to provide information, support, and opportunities to connect with others in free activities that are comfortable and family oriented. Saturday single parent playgroups (which usually meet once a month on a Saturday morning) are designed for single parents and children under 5 years of age to join together for play, songs, stories, and snacks. We also provide quarterly pot lucks for single parents with children of all ages. Periodically we offer parenting classes and field trips that are specifically for single parents.
Currently, to sign up for a free, single parent activity, you will need to log onto the Seattle Single Parent Meet Up website: http://www.meetup.com/The-Seattle-Single-Parents-Meetup-Group/ . If you have any questions about single parenting programming here at FamilyWorks, call Sarah at 206-694-6849 or saraht@familyworksseattle.org
