Join us for Sunday Dinner at Tom Douglas' Palace Ballroom on October 3, 2010 from 5-7:30 pm, and support the food bank and family center!  It all begins with a silent auction at 5 with cocktails and a scrumptious dinner and program at 6pm.   We would love you to join us at our table.

Thanks to all who came to the FamilyWorks Potluck on Saturday, July 31st.  We enjoyed lots of good food and we send out a special thanks to Leo El Magnifico for the magic show!

FamilyWorks Tutoring Program Oct 18, 2010
Free after school tutoring for children in first through fifth grade. This 1:1 tutoring program runs from October 18, 2010 through May 25, 2011. Call the tutoring program coordinator at 576-6534 or the main number (694-6727) for a student application packet or if you are interested in being a volunteer tutor.

Free Parenting Class for Teen/Young Parents Aug 14, 2010
North Seattle Family Center
This is a free, 5 week parenting class for parents up to 23 years of age provided by SPARK (Strong Partners and Relationships for Kids). The class will meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, starting on August 14th at the North Seattle Family Center.

Teen/Young Parent Program Jan 01, 2010
This free program is designed to provide support to parents up to 23 years of age. The program has a support group that meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 4-6 (from Aug 14-Oct 9 SPARK will be providing a free parenting class during this time). There is also a home visiting program. Call Gladys on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 694-6729 or at 335-6943 for more information.

Please donate food to the food bank to help families. You can also make it easier for folks to come to the Food Bank by donating bus tickets--booklets can be purchased at Bartell's.
