Teen Parent Program
FamilyWorks provides a free program for teen parents in collaboration with the North Seattle Family Center. We strive to promote the positive growth of teen parents by facilitating peer support groups, offering parenting classes/ workshops, and providing the opportunity to participate in a home visiting program. We also provide individual one on one time in which a teen parent can receive needed advocacy, guidance, encouragement, and support. Inherent in the program is the goal of providing teen parents with information about community resources and the skills to access them.
The teen parent support group meets at the North Seattle Family Center twice a month. Because this program is very flexible, you should always call Gladys for information about the current schedule (she is available at 694-6729 on Tuesdays from 1-6 PM or Thursdays from 10-4:30 PM). The North Seattle Family Center is located at 3200 NE 125th Street, Seattle 98125, 206-364-7930. Any parent or pregnant person 23 and under is welcome to attend.
