The teen parent program provides a parent support group in collaboration with the North Seattle Family Center.  We strive to support teen parents as they expand their parenting practices by using peer support groups,  parenting classes and workshops, family outings/field trips, introductions to new resources, and offering material goods (such as diapers, gently used clothes, books, and toys).   Our program has provided opportunities for teen parents to develop relationships with other teen parents, to connect to community resources, and to receive quality mentoring.  We address barriers for teen parents by meeting their current needs and responding to their emerging issues.  
    The playgroup/support group for young parents and their children at the North Seattle Family Center is every Saturday from 4:00-6:00pm.  The North Seattle Family Center is located at 3200 NE 125th Street.  Any parent or pregnant person  21 and under is welcome to attend.  During the summer, program participants can also attend a variety of field trips.
