One of our goals is to contribute to the growth of a healthy and caring community and we do this by supporting families. We offer free parenting classes each year along with a variety of workshops related to growth and development in an effort to help parents and caregivers with the on-going task of fostering a positive and respectful environment for both themselves and their children.
We usually offer three (six-week) parenting classes. We also offer a variety of free classes or workshops lasting for 1- 2 hours on topics of interest to parents and caregivers. The parenting classes are free to participants (except for a small fee if a parenting book is required with scholarships available for those unable to pay for the book). We provide free, limited childcare while parents are attending a class. These classes require that all participants register before attending by calling our office at (206) 694-6727. Although these classes are free we appreciate donations to help defray administrative, facilitator, and childcare costs.
